The Namibian government has decided to introduce visa requirements for countries that have not reciprocated Namibia’s visa policies. This policy will be applied to 31 countries, including Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Britain and the United States.
As for now, there is no news about when it will be implemented. Here is a link to a newspaper article:

Most (certainly UK, EU***** & Swiss) tourist visitors can enter Namibia without a visa and will receive a free ‘Visitors Entry Permit’ on arrival. This permit is valid for up to 90 days.
Before leaving the immigration desk in the airport arrivals hall, check that you have been given permission to stay in Namibia for the duration of your intended visit up to the maximum allowable of 90 days and that you have been given a correctly dated entry stamp by Namibian Immigration officials, as this will be checked on departure. Overstaying the time granted or an incorrect or missing entry stamp could lead to detention, arrest and a fine.
*Exceptions: Nationals of Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia. These countries must apply for a visa. Please check upfront which visa regulations apply to you.
When you leave Namibia to visit e.g Cape Town and you want to come back you usually continue with your former 90 days visitors entry permit. There are some cases where people get their visitors entry permit renewed with another 90 days.
